Mariska Hargitay has extended her Broadway debut in the solo show Every Brilliant Thing by one additional week at the Hudson Theatre.
The Law & Order: Special Victims Unit star will now appear onstage from Tuesday, May 26, through Sunday, July 5, 2026. Daniel Radcliffe concludes his run in the production on Sunday, May 24, 2026.
Producers Second Half Productions, Seaview, and Gavin Kalin Productions announced the one-week extension on May 15, 2026. The move lengthens a limited engagement that had originally been planned for 40 performances.
"Mariska Hargitay has extended her starring run in Broadway’s ‘Every Brilliant Thing’ by a week, and will now play in the essentially-solo show at the Hudson Theatre from Tuesday, May 26, through Sunday, July 5," said Greg Evans, Deadline reporter.
Playbill and BroadwayWorld also reported the updated schedule and confirmed that Hargitay succeeds Radcliffe in the central role. The intimate Hudson Theatre setting allows the single performer to interact directly with audience members throughout the evening.
The extension provides additional dates during the late spring and early summer period when Broadway attendance typically draws both local subscribers and out-of-town visitors. Theatergoers who missed earlier performances now have more opportunities to attend before the production closes.
Hargitay’s participation marks her first time appearing on a Broadway stage, bringing her decades of television work to a live format that relies on direct audience connection and personal storytelling. The added performances reflect continued demand for the show following its initial announcement.
With Radcliffe departing on May 24 and Hargitay beginning May 26, the production maintains continuity at the Hudson Theatre without interruption. The new closing date of July 5 gives the run a total of seven extra performances beyond the original plan. Additional shows allow more fans to experience the acclaimed production in person. Audience members have praised the emotional depth and interactive elements that define the performance. The Hudson Theatre continues to host this engaging work with strong ticket sales reported across multiple weeks.
