The Tony Award-winning revival of Ragtime has extended its Broadway run for a final two weeks due to strong audience demand.
Lincoln Center Theater made the announcement on June 9, 2026. The production at the Vivian Beaumont Theater will now end on August 16, 2026. This marks the conclusion of a notable engagement that began earlier in the season.
The extension arrives shortly after the musical earned four Tony Awards on June 7 at Radio City Music Hall. It won Best Revival of a Musical. Additional wins went to Joshua Henry for Lead Actor in a Musical, Caissie Levy for Lead Actress in a Musical and Kai Harada for Sound Design of a Musical. The show had earned 11 nominations overall.
The revival received a total of 11 nominations this season. Director Lear deBessonet helmed the Lincoln Center Theater production. The cast includes Joshua Henry, Caissie Levy and Brandon Uranowitz in the principal roles.
Ragtime first appeared as a concert at New York City Center. That limited engagement sold out quickly and generated excitement for a full staging. The full production then moved to Broadway where it continued to draw crowds.
Playbill reported the final extension details following the Tony wins. Deadline provided coverage of the two-week addition due to fan interest after the ceremony. BroadwayWorld also published updates on the show's run and award achievements in the days following the news.
This brings the celebrated engagement to a close after a successful season on Broadway that highlighted the enduring appeal of the musical.
