Broadway's The Book of Mormon is scheduled to resume performances on May 21 at the Eugene O'Neill Theatre.
The announcement follows a fire on May 4 that forced the initial cancellation of shows through May 17. Cancellations have now been extended through May 20 to allow completion of necessary repairs at the venue.
ATG Entertainment, the owner and operator of the Eugene O'Neill Theatre, and the production team have made steady progress on the restoration work inside the building.
The work inside the theatre is being completed by an extraordinary team that has made tremendous progress. On its current timeline, The Book of Mormon will resume performances on Thursday, May 21. The Eugene O'Neill Theatre box office will reopen to the public on May 15 at 10:00 a.m. In honor of the show's 15th anniversary, the first 50 people to arrive that morning will be able to purchase two $15 tickets each for select performances throughout the summer.
The production currently stars Kevin Clay as Elder Price, Diego Enrico as Elder Cunningham, and Sydney Quildon as Nabulungi. Ticket holders for any canceled performances should contact their original point of purchase for information on exchanges or refunds.
