The Broadway revival of Chess will close early on June 21.
Lea Michele's final performance as Florence Vassy will mark the end of the show at the Imperial Theatre. The production will have completed more than 250 performances by that Sunday.
Joanna 'JoJo' Levesque's planned takeover on June 23 and a third extension through September 13 have both been canceled. The closing comes three months ahead of the previously scheduled end date.
Attendance had dropped to roughly 70 percent capacity in recent weeks. The revival earned five Tony nominations but received no recognition for Michele, Aaron Tveit or the production in the revival category.
Producers Tom Hulce, Robert Ahrens and The Shubert Organization issued a statement on the run.
